Our facilities are set up for individual academic, theory courses, realtime reporting practice and speedbuilding, computer lab, media/reading rooms, captioning rooms, and administrative offices within an 8000 square feet of Mid City Tower located in Mid City Baton Rouge. Mid City is a Cultural District of Baton Rouge. Mid City Tower at 5700 Florida Blvd is conveniently located near Towne Center Mall and is adjacent to Baton Rouge Community College and the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators.We are always proud to participate in local arts and culture here at Mid City Tower.
For Court Reporting students the speedbuilding classrooms are categorized for Realtime Reporting I, II, III, IV and V, each with instruction from certified court reporters and trained readers for optimum progression through the course. Students utilize their personal laptop computers for realtime practice in class. A small cluster of computers have different court reporting software – Case CATalyst, Eclipse, and Digital CAT. The computers are available to students for test editing and realtime practice, however all students are required to have personal laptops. Students in Realtime Reporting I -V and are required to bring laptops for use during class and for test editing.
The Medical Coding and Billing program utilizes 2 classrooms for Medical Coding and Billing instruction and 1 computer laboratory for training in Microsoft Office and Electronic Forms in the Medical Office.
Students wishing to stay after 2:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday for lab hours may do so upon approval by the administrative office.
