Kid’s Clubs:Film

Hey Filmmakers!!! If you’re a 4th through 12th grader who likes making movies then join Film Kids, an after-school club that meets on Wednesdays and starts on August 22nd. We create our own film ideas. Then we run cameras and make our movies to show in a film festival at the end of each semester. Snacks and equipment are provided and everyone gets a DVD of their work.

Kid’s Clubs:Coding & Logic

Looking for one of the hottest after-school programs around? You’ve got it with Coding for Kids, our innovative courses for elementary and middle-schoolers that teach computer programming skills through interactive and exciting projects. These fun classes are perfect for kids who have great imaginations, like figuring out how things work or simply love technology.

Dance Classes

This class will introduce students to basic moves for the novice dancer. The focus of this class is to build a solid foundation to execute popular dance moves to original choreography. Warm up includes isolations, hard- hitting exercises and a breakdown of the highly energetic routine to build stamina and increase musicality. This is our most basic level class, no previous experience necessary.

Kids Ages 2-17 Dance Lessons Pricing

Group Dance Lessons for Kids, prepaid: Each class is 45 min long, and must have minimum of 5 students pre-registered for the class to be held. Classes held Mondays & Wednesdays 6p – 6:45pm
  • One group dance class: $18.00/person
  • 4 classes per month: $65.00/person

Adult Ages 18+ Dance Lessons Pricing

Group Dance Lessons for Adults, prepaid: Each class is 45 min long, and must have minimum of 5 students pre-registered for the class to be held. Classes held Tuesday & Thursdays 7p – 7:45p
  • One group dance class: $20.00/person
  • 4 classes per month: $75.00/person

Weekend Film School

Using pro equipment and guided by industry experts, the crew gets to grips with storytelling, directing, filming, editing and finally mastering a fully completed short film. Students collaborate on all aspects of the production. Sunday is shoot day! Training is hands-on…Students learn by doing – completing short exercise movies in class during Saturday. Every first Saturday of the month 10.00am – 5pm $650

Filmmaking

Subjects covered in the course include:
  • Developing the storyboard, concepts, adding cinematography/shots/angles/visual elements
  • Translating the script to filming – use of lenses, lighting and movement to portray emotional content
  • Crew roles – especially Director and DP, crew responsibilities
  • Casting, location scouting, production design
  • Hands on class in the role of DOP – covering decision making, camera operations, cinematography vs videography.
  • Lighting and sound
  • Pre Production Planning – the role of a producer in film vs television.
  • Editing, grading, sound design and delivery.
Storytelling Story is the most important aspect of any short film. Our students will be guided through story development with reference to film theory and language. Directing Crew roles are decided within each team with everyone having the opportunity to all roles as well as concentrate on what is most important to them. Post Production Editors are chosen from within the team and can use either Final Cut ProX or Adobe Premiere depending on their skillset. DaVinci resolve is offered for grading. Scripting The team will produce a script and run thru the process of script breakdown, casting actors and listing and sourcing props. Filming Camera and audio equipment is decided according to story – but all tools are professional level, providing the experience of a full movie shoot. Film Festivals Expert FFA instructors guide students throughout on the criteria for Film Festival entry. Many of our teams have successfully placed and won both local and international film festivals.  

Film Kids

Film Kids uses hands-on, student-driven video production to encourage young people’s creativity, confidence, and critical thinking skills. In Coding for Kids, your son or daughter will have a blast creating video games, animated stories and bringing their imaginations to life. You don’t even have to mention all the cool skills he or she is learning along the way: basic coding and programming, problem solving, logic, physics and more. (We’ll never tell!) It’s a great way to get kids psyched about learning cool STEM skills.
How Coding for Kids works Kids work with our advanced technology platform that’s intuitive and easy to use (no writing lines and lines of code here!) It’s a low stress setting in which your child works at his or her own pace with the support and encouragement of a teacher. Every class has a distinct objective and outcome, so your future computer whiz will work toward a goal and feel a great sense of accomplishment!
During each session, your son or daughter:
